His Place Eatery is a locally owned soul food and comfort food restaurant serving Indianapolis from two locations. We are known for food that is familiar, filling, and made with care. Our menu features fried chicken, chicken and waffles, classic comfort dishes, and homestyle sides.

Both locations share the same menu and standards, but the experience at each one is a little different.
Our East Side location is a destination for guests craving classic soul food and comfort dishes. It has a cozy, neighborhood feel and a loyal following of regulars who come for the flavors, the portions, and the familiar atmosphere.
Our North Side location offers a larger, more polished dining experience. It is a great option for weekday lunches, family dinners, and guests who want great food in a comfortable and easygoing setting.
In addition to dine in and takeout, His Place Eatery provides soul food catering in Indianapolis for offices, churches, schools, events, and family gatherings. From small orders to large catering needs, we bring the same quality, consistency, and care to every order.
His Place Eatery is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team James and Shawn Jones, who are hands-on in the day-to-day operations and committed to serving the Indianapolis community well.
